ETHEL left the professional entertainment field to get married. Later she and her family moved to Northeast Ohio (Akron-Cleveland) area. While away from entertaining, ETHEL did executive secretarial work for major companies and raised a family (daughter - Sandra; and son - Russ Thomas). She continued singing around home for her and her family's enjoyment.

Ethel On Stage

ETHEL was persuaded in 1963 by her husband, Russ, and their many friends to return to the professional entertainment field. After a few seconds back on stage the audience was so responsive ETHEL felt as if she had never left.

In 1964 the "Buckeye Strings" were organized to give ETHEL consistent backup as well as the ability to present a complete packaged show and to record together.
